It is operated by Crystal Halloran who is a Registered Counselling Therapist. is the official website of Nurture & Grow Counselling Service. Throughout the remainder of this document, will be referred to as simply "our website".

Privacy is an important principle in all operations of Nurture & Grow Counselling Service and its official website. Every effort is taken to safeguard the privacy of individuals in the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information. We respect your personal information, and this Privacy Policy explains how we handle it. The policy covers Nurture & Grow Counselling in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) & any information collated relating to health records that pertain under the NSW Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 No 71.

Nurture & Grow Counselling Service strives to maintain the highest standards of decency, fairness and integrity in all our operations, including the protection of privacy of our therapy clients, customers and visitors to our website & during service delivery operations.

Personal information includes information that relates to an individual's personal characteristics (e.g., name, date of birth, home address and telephone number), health (e.g., presenting problem, health history, health services received by the individual, social situation) or activities, views and opinions (e.g., opinions expressed by an individual, an opinion or evaluation of an individual). Personal information is to be contrasted with business information (e.g., an individual's business address and telephone number), which is not protected by privacy legislation. To make payment for services, information collected will financial details to make the payment for the services: this can be taken over the phone & entered in the via square EFTPOS machine, during face to face visit swipe/tap card for payment on the square EFTPOS machine, this could be received via bank transfer where your customer ID & name is required to make a direct transfer payment, or this could be in the form of providing your NDIS number to make payment via your plan manager directions.


If you submit an enquiry online to be contacted we ask you do not leave personal details about your circumstances rather a number or email in which we can contact you over the phone in a private & confidential setting.  Nurture & Grow Counselling Service uses Vista Print - Australia services to power the website, as such the information is stored on their server for the information to be transmitted to Nurture & Grow Counselling Service email. As such, we request only very minimal personal information. Nurture & Grow Counselling Service does not take any responsibility for the information in which you place in this enquiry, as it states please do not put personal details outside of name & email or contact number. 

Unless it’s unreasonable or impracticable, we will try to collect personal information directly from you (referred to as ‘solicited information’). For this reason, it’s important that you help us to do this and keep your contact details up-to-date. There are a number of ways in which we may seek information from you. We might collect your information when you fill out a form with us when you’ve given us a call or used our website. We also find using electronic means, such as email or SMS, a convenient way to communicate with you and to verify your details. However, we’ll never ask you for your security/financial payment details in this way – if you are ever unsure, just contact us.

Referral forms can be used to fill out basic information to access Nurture & Grow Counselling Sevice is the right service that can support you or your son/daughter. This information is provided by the referrer or yourself. This information you provide we ask to be true & factual so we can make the correct assessment. If you do not wish to provide any information, unfortunately, we may not be able to provide you with services. 

Mandatory sign-in for COVID-19 using the business QR code is required, although if anyone entering the premises is unable to electronically sign in,  an alternate sign-in method must record the contact details of the person and be kept ready and available for a minimum period of 28 days to provide to NSW Health if requested in accordance with the Public Health Act 2010. This information only will be provided if requested: personal your name and phone number, time of entry and time of exit. 


Sometimes, people share information with us we haven’t sought out (referred to as ‘unsolicited information’). Where we receive unsolicited personal information about you, we will check whether that information is reasonably necessary for our functions or activities. If it is, we’ll handle this information the same way we do with other information we seek from you. If not, we’ll ensure we do the right thing and destroy or de-identify it.


The primary purpose that Nurture & Grow Counselling Service obtains personal information is to provide psychological assessment, counselling and consulting services to individuals, couples, and families responsibly and professionally. For example, information may be collected about a client’s health history, family history, physical and psychological condition, and social situation to help assess what their needs are, advise them of their treatment options and help them to receive the treatment they choose. A secondary purpose of obtaining personal information by Nurture & Grow Counselling Service is to establish a baseline of health and social information. This allows the identification of changes occurring over time as part of the provision of therapy services. A third purpose is to advise the general public (or previous and ongoing clients) of special events, resources or services, such as seminars or new services in development, that are available through Nurture & Grow Counselling Service, and to make such services or resources accessible to the public. Only the personal information necessary for this purpose is collected. (For example, a first name and email address would be the only required information for a newsletter subscription. No other personal information would be necessary to receive free newsletters.) A related purpose is to advise the general public (or previous and ongoing clients) of resources that are independent of Nurture & Grow Counselling Service previous or ongoing clients have previously given consent to receive such information. A fourth purpose for collecting personal information is to invoice clients of Nurture & Grow Counselling Service for services that were not paid for at the time of the visit, to process credit card payments, or to collect on unpaid accounts. Also to liaise with NDIS plan managers to assist with the invoicing payments. In these circumstances, informed consent is provided by the client or the client representative. A fifth purpose is to advise clients that their service should be reviewed (e.g., to ensure the service is still relevant to their needs).

Individuals associated with Nurture & Grow Counselling Service will contact you only: a) in response to a question or suggestion initiated by you, b) in accordance with your prior consent to be contacted, (i.e. to complete feedback evaluations about the process of counselling, or to receive newsletters or promotions for upcoming events such as workshops, etc.), or c) as necessary to conduct the normal business affairs associated with the provision of services that you have initiated (i.e. scheduling matters, collecting on overdue accounts, reminders about upcoming appointments, the follow-up to services being provided, etc).

If you choose at any time to provide personal information such as your name, contact information (i.e. email address or telephone number) or any other personal information via email, online form, paper-and-pencil format, or otherwise, be assured that this information will never be given out, sold to advertisers, or used for any purpose other than what you intend.

Our website may collect personally identifiable information from you in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when you visit our site, register on the site, or fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our site.

If you complete the enquiry form on our website, we will require your name and your email address and will ask for information relevant to the purpose of the form. We advise not to put personal, private information other than name, contact details. If you submit content to us, we will ask for your name and email address. Details you include in your submission may personally identify you. We will use personal information received from you for internal purposes only and will not sell it or provide it to third parties. We also collect each visitor's IP address, which helps us combat spam and fraud. We do not use IP addresses for any other purpose.

When onboarding as a client, you will be provided with a privacy policy outlining the legal requirements for which the service much hold the information. 

For information gathered over the telephone/referral form in which you have opted not to be provided services & you do not become a client of Nurture & Grow Counselling Service - ANY information gathered in the course of this time will be destroyed immediately via means of shredding & all electronica communication will be deleted as this is no longer required for the service to hold. The only time in which this information will be kept is if you are undecided & you ponder if you may use the service in future. At which an agreed time in which the service will hold the information will be agreed with the client & the director - Crystal Halloran,
