Hi, my name is Crystal Halloran I am the founder of the Nurture & Grow Counselling service. I am a caring, empathetic & non-judgment - professional Counselling practitioner who puts the client at the forefront of every interaction by nurturing each person's journey, choices, development & autonomy in a safe & therapeutic environment.

I am highly qualified with a bachelor's degree in Counselling & hold various certified training: A diploma in Management - community services, Cert IV in Youth work, Cert IV training & assessment, Cert III in Children Services, Mental Health First Aid, & current First Aid & CPR. I have legal clearances: Working with Children Check (WWCC) & NDIS workers check (NDISWC) & National Police clearance check.

To complement my academic & professional training, I also have 15 years of experience across the social, community & welfare sectors including; Business owner/operator: Counselling Service, Management -T/L for disability services, independent contractor - Support Worker: disability, NDIS - Local Area Coordinator,  Case Management - homeless children & young people & young families.   

 

Gil brings dedication and compassion to his role as our disability support worker and trainee therapy assistant at Nurture & Grow Counselling Service. With a focus on empowering male participants, Gil provides tailored support to build independence and life skills. He works from a person-centered and capacity-building framework, guiding participants to navigate everyday challenges, solve problems, and enhance critical thinking.

 

Gil specialises in social and community engagement, supporting lifelong skill development and fostering camaraderie among young men through peer mentorship.

Gil is committed to continuous professional development, staying updated with the latest practices in disability support.

 

In Gil's free time, he enjoys family time, cooking, listening to music and outdoor activities like kayaking, mountain bike riding, going to the football-NRL.
