Meet the Team

Director & Principal Counselling Practitioner
Crystal Halloran (BCouns)
Hi, my name is Crystal Halloran, and I am the founder of Nurture & Grow Counselling Service.

I am a caring, empathetic, and non-judgemental counselling practitioner who places the client at the centre of every interaction. My work is guided by a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed lens, creating a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment that honours each person’s autonomy, lived experience, and individual journey. I support clients through counselling and psychoeducation, helping them better understand their emotions, behaviours, and nervous system responses in practical and empowering ways. I also provide child behaviour consulting, supporting children and families to understand and respond to challenging behaviours using strengths-based approaches.

I hold a Bachelor of Counselling and have over five years’ experience in private practice. My qualifications and professional training include a Diploma of Management (Community Services), Certificate IV in Youth Work, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate III in Children’s Services, Mental Health First Aid, and current First Aid and CPR. I maintain all required legal clearances, including a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Check, and National Police Check.

I bring more than 17 years of experience across the social, community, and welfare sectors, including work as a counselling service business owner, child behaviour consultant, team leader in disability services, independent NDIS support worker, NDIS Local Area Coordinator, and case manager supporting homeless children, young people, and young families.

My practice is grounded in compassion, professionalism, and evidence-informed support, with a strong focus on building capacity, safety, and meaningful change for individuals and families.
